Barbara Simpson serves vegetarian food bites and a bean ragout at Cherry Grove Farm's 10th Anniversary Dinner July 8
Cherry Grove celebrates the 10th anniversary of its cheese making with a farm-to-fork dinner. will be on display as toppings for vegetable burgers from Wildflour Bakery on the bakery's table at the Epicurean Palette event, which supports Grounds for Sculpture exhibitions and educational programs. Meet Barbara Simpson, owner, Muirhead Foods on Sunday 10/27 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Williams Sonoma Store in the Bridgewater Mall, Bridgewater, NJ. She will be giving a cooking demonstration with either Muirhead's famous pecan pumpkin butter or Muirhead's Cinnamon Apple Butter.

Donate to Sandy
Muirhead is a New Jersey company.  We were not directly impacted by Hurricane Sandy but other New Jersey citizens and companies have been so we are going to donate a portion of on-line sales from each jar of Pecan Pumpkin Butter for the month of December to the Sandy Relief effort.

With great sadness the family of Ed Simpson announces his passing on Sunday, July 8, 2007. Ed and his wife, Doris founded Muirhead in 1974 fulfilling a dream they both had. The Open-hearth Cookbook: Recapturing the Flavor of Early America by Suzanne Goldenson and Doris Simpson has been reprinted by the Alan C. Hood Publishing Company. This is a basic "how to" book to show modern folks how to enjoy hearth-cooked meals today. Early American cooking implements are described as well as cooking techniques such as baking, roasting, simmering and other techniques used to cook on an open fire. Recipes as well as sources for hearth cookware are included. This book is available at all major bookstores or by special request through the bookstore.

Muirhead of Ringoes, NJ was awarded a bronze medal for their Muirhead Horseradish Mustard at the 2004 Napa Valley Mustard Festival World-Wide Mustard Competition. This competition is open to all commercial mustard producers throughout the world. The judging takes place under the guidance of Barry Levenson who is Curator of the Mount Horeb Mustard Museum in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin.
